ADULT RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM

HCCC maintains a Men’s Group Home, Women’s Group Home, two mini-group homes and Apartments with staff on premises at all times while clients are there. A Follow-Along program is provided for adults who can live semi-independently with supervision and assistance in daily living as needed.

 

Adult Development

The Adult Development Center at HCCC provides daily specialized programs for adults who have developmental disabilities. Client instructors train the adults in daily living skills that provide them with the tools which allow them to lead the most independent life possible in a normal and natural environment.  Adult Development Programs include:

Money Management

Personal Safety

Hygiene and Grooming

Financial Management

Meal Planning & Preparation

Social Interaction

Community Awareness

 

 

ADULT WORK PROGRAMS

The Work Activity Center at HCCC provides work experience for adults with developmental disabilities. Clients learn work related skills in a supervised setting. They are trained in various job related areas through contracts from local businesses in the community and surrounding area.

To qualify for the program the client must be 18 years or older and have a High School Diploma or Certificate. They must have a disability such as an Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, or Epilepsy.

CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Case Managers are available to all clients. The case managers assist client and parents in locating appropriate services.  They assess and monitor services that are provided to the clients. They are an advocate for the client.
